| The
Sioux Empire Youth Orchestras
offer wonderful musical and social opportunities for the developing musician. |

| The
Prelude Orchestra is an
entry level orchestra for young string musicians designed to introduce them
to cooperative |
|
| musicianship.The Symphonia is a middle school level group for developing players.
Students in this group rehearse |
|
| and perform challenging repertoire. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
| Cost
is $50.00 per semester. Checks should be made to SEYO. Payment at the beginning |
|
| of the semester is appreciated. However,
installments may be made. For those families experiencing financial
hardship, |
|
| SEYO
may have financial assistance plans. Check with a Conductor, or Board member
for details. |
|
|
|

| Both
orchestras rehearse from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Axtell Park Middle School (201 N
West Ave) unless otherwise noted - |
|

schedule below. Prelude students (grades 4-5) do not need to audition -
simply show up with your instrument! Typically, |
| the
Prelude Orchestra begins in January. |
|
|
|
| New Symphonia Students are assigned parts
mainly by grade level (6th grade and younger are 2nd violin; 7th and older
are |
| 1st violin). However, students may audition
for placement - call one of the Directors (listed above) for details. (All
students may |
| play
- we do not "cut" students from this group!) Students should use
the main parking lot entrance, and follow |
|
| the
signs to the rehearsal room(s) - they will be marked. Students should arrive
at least 15 minutes before rehearsal begins. |
